Rune Caster (Noisia) - VGA Patch Fix

A VGA compatibility patch for the SEGA Dreamcast game, Rune Caster made by Noisia.
This patch enables proper VGA output for this RPG / action game, allowing it to display on VGA monitors via a Dreamcast VGA box / HDMI adapters or cable.

About the Patch

Rune Caster was originally designed without VGA support. This patch modifies the game's executable to force VGA mode, giving players access to crisp 480p image quality on compatible displays.

Key Features:

• VGA Output Enforced: Allows the game to boot and display correctly on VGA-compatible screens.
• PAL Support Included: Fully compatible with both NTSC and PAL console versions, ensuring European Dreamcast owners can also enjoy the game in VGA mode.
• Pure Display Fix: The patch only alters the video output settings. All game data, text, music, and gameplay mechanics remain completely unchanged.

Installation Instructions

You will need an original GDI dump of Rune Caster (Noisia).

Download one of the tools:

1. For Universal Dream Patcher:
   • Download from: https://github.com/DerekPascarella/UniversalDreamcastPatcher
   • Apply the .DCP patch to the original .GDI image.
2. For GDIBuilder v2.1.1:
   • Download from: https://projects.sappharad.com/tools/gdibuilder.html
   • Replace the 1ST_READ.BIN file and use the "Patch a copy" option for all files to build the image.

Once patched, run the ready .GDI image on one of the ODE .

Note: This patch is specifically for Rune Caster (T-40001M). Please ensure you are applying it to the correct game image.
